What is Snuggles and Giggles (S&G)?

Snuggles and Giggles (S&G) is a premier program dedicated to providing immersive sensory play classes that inspire and nurture the imagination of little ones aged 3 months to 2 years. Our mission is to create vibrant, multi-sensory learning experiences that foster early development, creativity, and a love for exploration.

Our Philosophy

At Snuggles and Giggles, we value the importance of imagination. Our thoughtfully designed activities are crafted to engage your baby’s senses, supporting the formation of vital neural connections essential for their early growth. Our goal is to provide a joyful and supportive environment where children can explore their surroundings while developing strong connections with their parents.

Why Choose S&G?

Each class is a journey into the colorful and creative world of your child’s imagination. From tactile exploration with soft toys and real sea shells to visual delights with sparkling sensory tubes and jellyfish lights, every session is an adventure in discovery.

Our classes are designed for both moms and their little ones, creating a special bonding experience as they explore and learn together. This shared time is invaluable for strengthening the parent-child connection.

Our experienced instructors are passionate about early childhood education and sensory play. They are dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and stimulating environment where your child can thrive.

What is Sensory play?

Sensory play is any activity that engages a child’s senses, such as touch, smell, taste, sight, and sound. It includes a variety of materials and experiences, like playing with sand, water, or dough, experimenting with different textures, and listening to music and sounds.

Why is sensory play so important in child development?

Babies learn holistically, engaging their entire bodies and all their senses to explore the world around them. At birth, a newborn’s brain contains over 100 billion cells, with a rapid burst of synapse formation resulting in 2 million new connections per second by three months. Research shows that unused synapses disappear as children grow, partly explaining their greater ease in learning new languages compared to adults.

The first year of life is crucial for later learning. Exposing babies to diverse experiences and activities builds a solid foundation. Certain activities stimulate different parts of the brain, such as visual or logical areas, and these experiences interconnect to support future learning. Stimulating babies with various sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures develops neural connections, promoting intelligence and aiding developmental milestones like smiling, hand control, color vision, and face recognition. For example, engaging babies in music-making increases brain activity tenfold.

What we offer?

In Snuggles and Giggles (S&G) classes, we offer numerous sensory activities to delight and stimulate your baby’s senses. One example is the use of lights in sensory play. Light movement provides visual tracking, promoting eye coordination and strengthening eye muscles. This early skill development supports reading. Calming lights also help babies relax and promote deeper sleep. Exploring textures is another essential sensory activity. Touch and texture help babies and toddlers understand their environment, supporting language acquisition. Describing textures during exploration enhances vocabulary development. Additionally, feeling various textures aids motor skill development, strengthening hand muscles and improving hand-eye coordination through gripping, holding, squeezing, and poking activities.
